Master percussionist Ray Pereira and Saxophone virtuoso Julien Wilson formed THE MOUTH to explore new original music influenced by the rhythms of Cuba, West Africa and Sri Lanka.
The compositions of the group use rarely heard rhythms as a basis for these compositions, where the saxophone and guitar weave harmony and melody around the intricate polyrhythms created by the band.
